Erik is the co-founder of Bold North Roofing and Contracting. With a background in accounting and business, Erik leads the business development and financial aspects of the business. He started his career in public accounting and worked at a local real estate developer where he helped rapidly scale the business. He is also a certified public accountant and real estate agent both licensed in the state of Minnesota. Erik lives in Minneapolis where he enjoys traveling, staying active, and spending time with family and friends.

Ryan Emmerich
Partner
Ryan is the co-founder of Bold North Roofing and Contracting. With over a decade of experience in the roofing and construction industry, Ryan leads the production and operations teams at Bold North. He started his roofing career as a laborer during the summers in his college years and has since project managed over 1,000 residential and commercial roofing jobs. Ryan lives in Burnsville with his girlfriend and two dogs. He enjoys hunting, fishing, and all things outdoors.
The founders of Bold North, Ryan and Erik, were both born and raised in Minnesota before heading to the University of North Dakota for college where they met. Ryan went to school for Teaching and Erik went to school for Accounting where they both graduated at the top of their respective classes.
Ryan started working in the roofing industry during his summers when he was not teaching and quickly learned that roofing was his passion which he transitioned to full-time shortly thereafter. Since then, Ryan has worked in every facet of the industry from Roofer to Project Manager to Sales Manager where he has completed over a 1,000 jobs in residential, commercial, and multi-family. He also holds his General Contractor’s license.
Erik started working as a CPA at a big4 accounting firm after college which he quickly realized was not his passion. He then joined a local real estate developer where he gained experience in commercial real estate and what it takes to grow and scale a small business. He also holds his real estate license.
During the last several years, both Ryan and Erik figured out that they had aspirations beyond just working a 9-5 job so they began buying old houses to renovate which they then rented out to families in need. This feeling of serving the communities they grew up in through providing safe and affordable homes was the main driver that created Bold North Roofing and Contracting. With this new venture, Ryan and Erik are now able to work directly with homeowners to ensure that their houses are properly protected so that they are able to go boldly into any storm or night.

Carl
Production Manager
Carl is originally from Williston, North Dakota. After Graduating from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks Carl went straight into active duty in the army. Upon returning he found himself in the construction industry for the next 25 years. He spent seven of those years as a home remodeling business owner. Five of those years he spent time diving into new home building construction. In his spare time he enjoys Golfing, Skiing, Snowmobiling, traveling, and hiking.
Tom
Sales Manager
Tom was born and raised in Edina. He is very passionate about working with homeowners through the entire insurance restoration process from the initial inspection to the completion of the project.
Tom previously bartended and managed at several Minneapolis bars and restaurants. Tom enjoys staying active as he was a 4 sport athlete in high school and continued on to play Football and Rugby at St. Olaf where he went to college.
Chris
Sales Manager
Chris Cohen is a skilled project manager in the construction and storm restoration industry with five years of experience. Originally from Minnetonka, Chris has a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering projects on time and providing above-and-beyond customer service for homeowners.
Chris enjoys spending time with his wife, two kids, and a cat when he’s not at work. He enjoys volunteering in his local church, playing competitive softball, and cheering on the Minnesota Vikings during football season.
With his dedication and passion for his work and personal life, Chris brings a unique perspective to every project he undertakes.
Calvin
Project Consultant
Calvin grew up in Rogers, Minnesota. Calvin attended Hennepin Technical College for his culinary arts degree. He has been a chef for the last 15 years.
His hobbies consist of hunting, fishing, golf and home improvement projects. He and his wife live in Maple Grove with their four kids. Braxton , Olivia, Blake, and Grayson.
Glen
Project Consultant
Glen has a background of working in the construction industry for 15 plus years. Not only does he have the knowledge and experience in the roofing industry he also enjoys working for the homeowner as their advocate as they navigate the insurance claims process.
Glen is also one of our project managers that oversees the job to make sure it runs smoothly and is done to our high-quality standards so he will be there every step of the way. Glen enjoys spending quality family time with his wife and 4 beautiful daughters.

Tyler
Project Consultant
Tyler is a born and raised Minnesotan. He attended Minnesota State Mankato. He has years of experience in commercial framing and drywall. We are excited to have him as an asset to our team. He enjoys his spare time outdoors, hunting, fishing, and dirt biking.
Shallon
Project Consultant
Shallon is from St paul and attended St. Paul college. She enjoys spending time with her husband and daughters. Shallon enjoys riding motorcycles , boating, and traveling.
Ryan
Project Consultant
Ryan is originally from Brooklyn Park Minnesota. He attended college at North Hennepin Community College while doing construction work . Ryan worked installing gutters for 2 years before working in the stucco industry. He is a journeyman plasterer with nearly 30 years of experience. His hobbies are anything outdoors. Ryan enjoys fishing, hunting and spending time with his daughter.
Christina
Project Consultant
Christina is originally from South Minneapolis. She attended University of Minnesota Duluth where she played soccer and spent her winters snowboarding Spirit Mountain. After college she found herself in Colorado where she enjoyed embracing her love for winter sports.
Finding herself homesick and longing to see more of her direct family Christina returned to Minnesota. She has worked a variety of sales, marketing, or networking positions. With her passion of assisting others and being outside.
She has found that this is her favorite position yet. Christina is our adrenaline lover as she enjoys cliff jumping, snowboarding, and boating. She believes all things are achievable with a positive attitude and hard work.
Nick
Project Consultant
Nick is originally from London but graduated from Wayzata high school. He continued his education at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. He is an apprentice level carpenter and is working toward his general contracting license. Nick has a cabin in Aspen Colorado where he spends much of his time skiing as well as golfing. He also loves water sports of all kinds; he enjoys taking full advantage of the Minnesota summer while it lasts.
Huy
Project Consultant
Huy is from Saint Paul Minnesota, He attended the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. After college Huy found himself working as a construction Engineer. His vast knowledge of the construction industry was something he did not want to waste. He saw Bold North Roofing and Contracting as a way to still utilize that knowledge and still have a change of pace. In his free time he enjoys real estate investing, working out and exploring new restaurants.

Erik was raised in Stacy Minnesota. He has spent much of his adult life in the real estate industry where he has participated in over 700 home inspections. He wanted to continue to grow his knowledge of the home industry and found Bold North Roofing as a way to do so. In his spare time he enjoys watching the Twins games with his wife.

Sam
Insurance Consultant
Sam was born here in the Twin Cities, and has been in education roles for over a decade. She’s a fully licensed insurance advisor, and really enjoys being able to guide & teach clients from beginning to end of the insurance claims process. She currently serves as a board member for the Oakdale Area Chamber of Commerce, where she specializes in planning networking opportunities. When she’s not working with clients or planning parties, she enjoys spending time with her daughter, her family, painting, & being anywhere with live music.
Justin

Justin was born and raised in Andover and is a University of Minnesota graduate. Justin has a state and local policy background where he learned to navigate and solve difficult issues between parties.
Justin strives to bring clarity, relief, and ease to homeowners throughout the insurance restoration process. Justin now lives in Apple Valley with his wife, two children, a dog, and a cat.

Project Consultant
Originally from Holdingford, Minnesota. Mike traveled the United States helping oil, gas, and chemical refineries stay up to date with the annual inspections to ensure that they are safe to return to operating service. He is extremely passionate about the importance of safety and wants what’s best for his homeowners and their families. In his free time he enjoys watching football, college wrestling, and UFC fighting. He enjoys hunting, fishing, and loves to experience new things such as finding a new brewery or local bar to meet new people.

Project Consultant
McKenzie specializes in roofing and siding restoration with an emphasis on customer service and communication. She previously worked in the roofing industry as a Legal Admin and would handle all new files, so she understands the business side of the industry. In her free time, she enjoys staying active, working out, volunteering at a wolfdog rescue and humane society, and spending time with her family and close friends. She is a proud dog mom to a Siberian Husky and wolfdog.
